Tony Palazzo is assistant managing editor of the Los Angeles Business Journal, where he oversees a range of coverage areas, including finance, health care, politics, real estate and technology.
Prior to joining the Business Journal in 2001, he was news director at Business.com, where he led development of news content for the business information Web site. Earlier, he was a reporter at Dow Jones Newswires, covering the computer software beat and opening a Southern California bureau in the late 1990s.
Mr. Palazzo’s work has been recognized by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, the Los Angeles Press Club and the Alliance of Area Business Publications.
He is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he graduated with honors in 1992 and won the Nona Balakian Award for literary journalism. Mr. Palazzo received a BA degree with academic distinction in 1986 from the University of California at Berkeley.
