Albert P. Asatoorian practices in the corporate, securities and finance group in the Los Angeles office of law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Mr. Asatoorian’s practice focus is public offerings, public company reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements and strategic partnerships.
He has represented public and private companies in a range of industries, including business process outsourcing, technology and telecommunications, manufacturing, life sciences, restaurant, real estate and financial services.
Mr. Asatoorian regularly advises companies on intricate business and accounting disclosure issues, capital formation, acquisition and financing strategies, executive compensation and corporate governance. His transactional experience includes equity and debt financings, REIT offerings, going private transactions, cross-border acquisitions and business combinations, restructuring transactions, proxy contests and technology licenses.
Mr. Asatoorian has completed work on a variety of financings, acquisitions and commercial transactions for clients, including Intel, Asahi Bank, Bank of the West and Union Bank. He has also represented emerging growth and middle market clients in transactions with large corporations, including Starbucks, Mitsubishi Pharma Corp., Gaz de France, Compaq, Visteon and Motorola. He recently completed two public offerings, including an initial public offering for PeopleSupport, Inc., one of the largest providers of outsourced services in
the Philippines.
